Outlet Center Eben celebrates its Christmas reopening after the lockdown with the world's first 4-toque chef, Johanna Maier. High visitor numbers in compliance with strict hygiene measures. Daily police checks in all Austrian shopping centers.
After almost three weeks of lockdown, the Outlet Center Eben reopened on Monday, 07.12.20. To give visitors even more Christmas cheer, the Outlet Center is giving away shopping vouchers worth 150 euros and the latest cookbook "My Christmas" by top chef Johanna Maier from Filzmoos.

The sports and leisure fashion stores were very busy after the reopening. Customers from Salzburgerland were attracted by targeted offers with pre-Christmas discounts.
The number of visitors to the Outlet Center Eben and large parts of the Austrian retail sector was very good, but still manageable, with above-average footfall. Nevertheless, sales in Eben have already doubled year-on-year in the first week of week 50 in the otherwise rather subdued pre-Christmas sales period. Since reopening, the center parking lot has been fully occupied at peak times during the day and in the evenings.

In view of the initial rush in shopping centers and city centers, politicians called on people to exercise restraint. Federal Chancellor Sebastian Kurz appealed to the population to
"Distribute shopping needs. There are still many days until Christmas. The sun is always coming up. The stores always open the next day."
The Chamber of Commerce and the trade union have agreed to adjust opening hours in the run-up to Christmas. This means that stores can extend their opening hours until 7 p.m. on the two remaining Saturdays before Christmas, December 12 and 19, in order to ease the flow of visitors.
